It finally happened. I’ve been trying to focus on heads up sit-n-gos and trying large field MTTs with the profit for a few weeks now and nothing was working for me. Today I won 2 of my $10 heads up matches and saw that the $11+rebuy game was about to start. I like rebuy tournaments and decided to give it a shot. I immediately rebought to get to 3,000 chips and we were off!
I honestly can’t remember much about the first hour but I know that I was up in the top 10 for awhile, then back below average when on the last hand before the rebuys were over I decided to double up or lose. I had Q♥9♠ and went all-in against J♠J♣ and hit a queen high flop and I was at 7,500 chips. I used the add-on to get to 9,500 and took a 5 min break.
I can’t remember what big hands I had but I know a few times it included KK and the one that vaulted me in the top 5 for the first time since the break was this: visitez le site

He flipped over K♠9♥ for the 2nd nuts straight and only a chance to chop the pot. It came out Q♣8♠ and I doubled up to near 60k in chips, I was rolllling.
Fast forward to the final 18. Getting that far was grueling but I was top 10 all the way until the final 18. I slipped as far as 12th place and was the short stack when I was dealt A♠A♦ in the big blind. Talk about timing. A limper and the SB called and I raised 6x the blinds (to 60k) and the limper min-re-raised to 120k. The SB said something like ‘Why don’t you want me in this?’ and called. These two were the the 1st and 2nd place chip leaders at the time. I went in for my final 8k, 128k total and both called. The flop came out
